Imagine for a second the following situation:
After a long and stressful day at work.
The boss yelled at you.
The customers were impatient.
You only managed to finish 20% of the work that was supposed to be done that day.
You cannot wait to get home.
To the quiet.
The serenity.
The rest.
You enter your house.
You put your bag down.
You breathe a sigh of relief

and then…
Your little boy comes happily, grinning from ear to ear.
He just wants to show you the lovely painting he drew in kindergarten.
Your daughter arrives enthusiastically and happily and wants to tell you about a new girlfriend.
The baby missed her nap; she’s crying and cranky.

Remember that a moment ago you breathed a sigh of relief?
Did you release some of the stress and pressure from your work?

And again, within seconds, everything turns around and your body goes into stress again.

And how do you react?
Are you in a position to listen?
To contain?
To enable the kids to share with you?
To be a part of their joy?
To embrace?
To kiss?
To love?

Or do you react angrily.
With impatience and intolerance.

And as soon as you calm down you see the happy, bright faces switching to sadness and pain, and you regret your reaction.
You are angry at yourself.
And once again, you enter a new cycle of stress and tension.
All you wanted was one moment of silence.
One second to breathe.
A reset for your system.
To allow the body to rest for a second in order to accumulate air for breathing.

When your body is balanced:

  1. You can see the world through different lenses.
  2. You can choose differently.
  3. You can change the situation.
  4. You can release the blockages.

Why?
Because the energy in your body is flowing…

The situation will be similar.
The boss can shout.
The customers may complain.
You still manage to finish only 20%
But… and this is a big but… your reaction, and your body’s reaction, will be different.

What will your reaction be in normal mode?
The body went into stress because of the screams.
It shrinks.
It is stuck.
And your body will absorb the anger and contain the toxins within you.
Are his shouts really improve your efficiency at work?
Your productivity?
Or is it just the opposite…
The tension and stress weaken you and your productivity declines?

What will be the reaction if your body was balanced?
Will you let the anger and toxins sink into it?
Or would stay balanced and calm?
You will operate from within your centre.
And you will be able to understand that it is probably the boss who is currently out of balance.
It has nothing to do with you.
